Resolved - There have been no further issues since we rectified the issue earlier this morning.

This outage is now resolved. Please get in touch with us should you be experiencing issues.

We're discussing the root cause with cPanel to ensure this doesn't cause us, or others, problems moving forward.

We apologise for the inconvenience this outage caused.

Monitoring - Our technicians have resolved the issue, MariaDB has now started.

Technicians will continue to monitor the issue to ensure there is no further interruption to service.

An urgent bug report will be submitted to cPanel - the root cause of this outage was cPanel's Backup system failing to honour the configuration that requires it to delete local backups once they've been transported to the backup platform.

Identified - We have identified an issue with MariaDB following a cPanel update taking place on SYD-CP6.

Following investigation, it has been determined that cPanel's backup system has not been honouring the set configuration which forces the server to remove all backups from SYD-CP6 once they've been transferred to the backup platform.

As a result of this, the root partition on SYD-CP6 reached capacity and MariaDB has crashed part way through an update it could never complete.

Technicians are working on the issue and are aiming to have all services restored within 1-2 hours. We apologise for the inconvenience.
